My Story

July 28, 2010 sure was a CRAZY day!  After 9 months of being treated for growing pains and muscle weakness, Mom said. "Enough is enough figure out what is wrong with my little girl".  An MRI was FINALLY done and to our surprise we were shown a softball size tumor! HOLY COW!!!

After a whirlwind of CT, Bone, Pet scans and biopsy, Peyton was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma and began chemotherapy the 2ND week of August, 2010.

The course of Peyton’s treatment includes a total of 14 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy lasting 3 days or 5 days in 14 day intervals from the start of each treatment. She will also undergo 6 to 7 full weeks of proton radiation treatment in a facility most likely located in Philadelphia or Boston starting November, 2010 and going into the new year. There are only a few select cities in the United States which house the equipment and specialists needed to treat Peyton’s form of cancer with radiation. Her full treatment is expected to last approximately one year.

After several rounds of chemotherapy, Peyton has amazed us all with her progress and her strength! She has quite a road ahead of her, and we are teaming together to help Peyton and her family with the funds required for her medical bills, out of state treatment and living expenses while in treatment.
